What PSA grading is

The acronym PSA stands for the American company Professional Sports Authenticator, which is considered one of the most prestigious among collectors today. Its grading is a globally recognized standard for verifying the authenticity and condition of collectible cards. Simply having a PSA grade can significantly increase a card’s price. 

When grading, PSA evaluates several factors such as centering, wear and potential damage, scratches, or printing flaws. Based on this, it assigns the card a score from 1 to 10 — and the higher the grade, the more valuable the card becomes for collectors and potential buyers. 

A major advantage of PSA grading is that it is recognized by collectors around the world, unlike many smaller grading companies. If you have a rarer card in good condition, it is definitely worth having it professionally graded — it can multiply its value.

Why submit your cards for PSA grading with us?

How it works

We take care of all arrangements and formalities related to PSA grading. Getting your cards graded will be almost as simple as making a regular purchase in our shop. Here’s how the process works:

1. You purchase the PSA grading service directly in our e-shop. If you want to send more cards for grading, you need to purchase the service as many times as the number of cards.
2. Once we process your order, we will contact you. We will tell you how to prepare your card for grading and arrange the method of shipping it to us. 
3. Before sending the card, we label it carefully, pack it securely, and insure it. You don’t need to worry about damage or mix-ups. We send cards to the largest professional company S.L.A.P (Germany), which offers faster processing times and is a PSA Gold Partner.
4. We send cards for grading once we collect a batch of them, but at least once per month.
5. The duration depends mainly on PSA. PSA has 120 business days to grade and return the cards to us. 
6. As soon as we receive the graded cards back, we will notify you, pack them carefully, and send them back to your address.

Card value and service type

• The price for the PSA TCG BULK service applies to all cards valued up to 200 USD (after grading). If you send a more expensive or rarer card, it may exceed 200 USD and you may be asked to pay the price difference.
• If you have sports cards or high-value collectible cards (including Pokémon), choose the PSA VALUE BULK service. This category is for cards valued up to 499 USD. 
• If you have an autographed card, choose the PSA DUAL GRADING service.
• All services follow the same rule as PSA TCG BULK — if the card exceeds the value limit, you will be asked to pay the difference.

How to send your cards to us?

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cards can I send for PSA grading?

As many as you want! You can send just your favorite or most valuable card, or even an entire binder. 

How do I know if my card is worth grading?

Prestigious PSA grading generally increases the value of any card, regardless of rarity. However, for very common cards it might not make financial sense unless the card has personal value. In general, the more valuable the card is, the more PSA grading pays off. It’s up to you which cards you choose to grade. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us or visit us in person — we’ll gladly advise you :)

How long does the PSA grading process take?

PSA has 120 business days to grade the card, and unfortunately we cannot speed up this timeline. In practice it often doesn’t take that long, but we cannot guarantee this. What we can guarantee is that we will send your card within 30 days of receiving it.

We send cards twice a month.

What if my card exceeds the value of 499 USD?

The price 849 Kč for the PSA VALUE BULK service applies only to cards valued up to 499 USD. More expensive cards require a higher PSA fee. This can be settled afterwards, so even high-value cards can be safely submitted — in the worst case, the difference will need to be paid. For such valuable cards, the grading still pays off. 

What if my card gets lost or swapped with another?

While the card is in our care, this will not happen. We cannot take responsibility for postal services, which is why we always insure the package before shipping. Such cases are extremely rare — we have personally never experienced it. 

As for mix-ups, we prevent them through thorough labeling and detailed photographing and documenting of every card we receive. Before returning the cards, we always double-check that they go to the correct owners. 

Where can I sell a PSA-graded card?

You can offer a PSA-graded card for sale in the same places as ungraded cards — except this time you can ask for a higher price. 

You can sell cards in collector groups and forums, on Card Market (where you can also easily check the current market price for your PSA-graded card), or at one of our Pokémon events and card shows, where we will gladly help you with buying or selling.
